Comfort Food

As we approach that time of year when food takes on a totally different sinificance in our lives, to the point of obsession, mania and craziness some might say, I thought I'd post about the role of comfort eating in our lives.
Food has become so much more than simple nourishment and satisfaction of physical hunger, so its emotional and symbolic importance shouldn't be underestimated. Recently, I have seen articles about how to make comfort eating healthier - what's the point? Half the fun is the "naughtiness", we don't eat like that all of the time (if we do, there's something else going on) and chances are, we'd probably eat twice as much of a healtheir version!
Enjoy, it's good for you sometimes!
