I use many accepted and proven techniques and approaches, from psychotherapy, counselling, hypnosis, CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy), NLP (Neuro-Linguistic Programming), mindfulness and more, to secure the best possible outcome for you. I describe my approach as humanistic hypnotherapy, working with the whole person, not simply the presenting symptoms, which are frequently an indication of something much deeper.I have a degree in Social Studies, a diploma in Hypnotherapy and NLP and I am an experienced therapist of several years. Like most people, throughout my life I have faced changes and challenges – as a parent, foster carer, employee, volunteer, in business, but always as a flawed human being.
Anxiety, panic, depression, self confidence and self esteem issues, are particular areas of interest, but I work with all conditions and concerns. Stress can have a massive impact on both emotional and physical well-being, and many common ailments treated by doctors today have strong connections with anxiety - IBS, ulcers, ME, asthma, allergies, immune disorders, and many more; alcoholism, drug addiction, eating disorders; strokes, heart disease and cancer. Our very powerful mind exerts all kinds of strange and wonderful influences over our body, which we often under-estimate.
